Handled Broom-making

  • CraftStudies Studio & School 87 Maple Street Hartford, VT, 05001 United States (map)

Saturday, March 15, 2024 | 10A - 4P | One-day workshop | $150

Explore the construction of handled brooms! Use the “tumble spool” method to bind broom corn to different sized handles. Learn different methods to complete the winding and finish stitches to give the broom strength. Varying the size, materials, and technique you’ll be able to create hearth brooms, small house brooms, or full-sized parlor brooms. Students will complete a small broom in the morning and a larger broom in the afternoon.

Supplies: All materials are included with registration.
