Intro to Garment-sewing (1 SPOT LEFT!)

  • CraftStudies Studio & School 87 Maple Street Hartford, VT, 05001 United States (map)

Tuesdays, September 10 - October 1, 2024 | 5:30 - 8:30P | 4 sessions | $250

This beginner sewing class starts with and introduction to the sewing machine and ends with the completion of the Allspice Apron by Hey June Handmade or The Studio Tunic by Sew Liberated. Either option makes a great first project to start your journey into garment-sewing.  Learn the most frequently used sewing techniques to become an independent maker.

We will prepare our patterns, review material requirements, and practice seams and finishes during the first class. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine or use one of the studio sewing machines.

Supplies: Bring your own sewing machine (including its “feet” and manual) or use one of the studio machines. Students will be expected to purchase the fabric of their choice following the first class session.

Students are expected to their own purchase and print one of the following patterns before the first class:

We recommend printing on size AO Paper at your local copy shop. Please email hello@craftstudies if you have any questions.
