Take your sewing to the next level and make your own jeans! We will cover everything you need to know to make a professional looking pair of jeans, using one of the following patterns:
Learn all the details that go into making a pair of jeans, including order of construction, seam finishes, topstitching, inserting a fly zipper, attaching a waistband, and installing all that fun hardware. We will choose a size and go over fit, although this is not a fit-specific class.
Supplies: Bring your sewing machine (plus its feet and manual) or use one of the studio's sewing machines.
We recommend having your patterns printed on size A0 paper at your local copy shop. Ask the shop to print at 100% with no scaling or tiling.
Students are encouraged to purchase their fabric in advance of class. Please reach out to hello@craftstudies.org if you have any questions about fabric choice or recommendations about where to shop.
