Designed for, but not limited to, students who have early dismissal through the Hartford School District, this program offers a perfect blend of creativity and relaxation. Each session, students will engage in hands-on exploration and craft projects that encourage imagination and artistic expression. All materials provided.

Clay is more fun in pairs! Learn how to throw a basic pot on the wheel. No experience needed, just a willingness to have some fun and to get a little dirty! Registration includes clay, use of tools, glaze, and firing for 2 people. Your work will be glazed in your color of choice, fired, and ready for pick up about 2 weeks after the workshop. Includes 20% off at Putnam's Vine/Yard for the night!

Exploring Texture & Stamps: Hand-Building Mugs

Explore approaches to slab building and surface design as we build a set of mugs. Create an array of stamps that will add pattern and texture to your hand-built pottery. Our first session will focus on construction and texturing, our second session will be dedicated to exploration and refinement, and the third session will be devoted to glaze techniques.

Take your intermediate throwing and glazing skills to the next level in this special class on black clay. Our first three lessons will focus on making larger, more complicated pieces.
