Learn the magic of combining type, paper, and ink at this Saturday letterpress workshop. You’ll learn the basics of the history of printing, how to set type, and how to print your design on a press that has been in use since 1911 as you create a letterpress print in up to two colors using antique wood and metal type, ornaments, and hand-carved illustrations. The 20 prints you’ll take home will show the signature letterpress impression that only type can make! Class takers should come with their favorite quote or song lyric (no more than 25 words), and wear clothes that they don’t mind getting a little inky.
